Conference sponsors and affiliates play an important role in supporting the MYEE Conference. This support subsidizes the cost of the meal functions and special events. We appreciate these supporters and the part they play in making the second annual 2016 MYEEC an outstanding event.
The second annual Mid Years Engineering Experience Conference, is supported by Texas A&M University through its Dwight Look College of Engineering, the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station, and the Institute of Engineering Education and Innovation.
In addition, the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE) journal, Advances of Engineering Education, has agreed to partner with this inaugural conference by publishing a Special Issue. The mission of Advances of Engineering Education is to focus on educational developments and practice and encourages, but does not require, authors to utilize supporting materials, such as animation, audio, graphics, and video in addition to text. Based on the conference review of the extended abstracts, selected authors will be invited to write a full paper for a Special Issue of Advances of Engineering Education focused on the mid years, which will then go through the standard, peer review process.
One hundred academic representatives are expected at this conference. Participants will include college deans, administrators, department chairpersons, and faculty in engineering, engineering technology, and computer science, along with student service staff and advisors from throughout the country and world.
